Whispers of Existence: A Reflection on Life

Life isn’t all that it seems

In childhood, you are protected from the world

You don’t know an ounce of what is out there

You are protected by this invisible shield your parents create around you

You are safe from every existing evil

Your parents sacrifice to fulfill your wants

The world becomes the warmest place you know

Embracing us as we grow

Where does childhood go?

To a forgotten place, hidden in the little infant’s face

When does it go?

Is it when we come across betrayal and hate?

But as you grow up, you come face to face with the reality of the world

This reality is harsh

At this point you begin to realise

That life isn’t all it seems
